Give Yourself Time

I’ve heard clients say, again and again, “I can’t believe how many times I must learn this lesson.”

It feels like the same lesson, but it isn’t. It came from a different direction or was masked in a new way. Maybe we’re encountering it with more awareness this time. Maybe we’re finally ready to see something we couldn’t see before.

It takes time to change habits, see ourselves clearly, and become the people we aspire to be.

We live in a culture that expects quick results and immediate satisfaction. Yet that’s not how life unfolds.

Not because we’re doing anything wrong, but because we’re human.

We take two steps forward, one step backward, and a half step sideways. We make progress, get stuck, discover something new, and try again.

This is the motivation for one of my new inspiration cards:

Whether you’re starting a creative project, making an internal change, or learning something new, give yourself time.

There’s no deadline for becoming who you want to be.

If you’re repairing a relationship, beginning a new job, or starting an exercise routine, remember that meaningful change rarely happens overnight.

Take another step. Keep going.

When you relax the pressure around time, there’s more space to be present, kind, and creative.

Give yourself time.
