Here’s how The Pause works…

  • Every Wednesday morning, you receive an email with bite-sized nuggets of wisdom easily implemented in daily life.

  • The format varies—new idea, photograph, poem, journal prompt, or reflective practice—so the material feels fresh and you feel motivated.

  • The ideas are not cumulative, so when life interrupts you can easily begin again.

  • Each message includes a 5-minute audio-guided meditation, so you have breathing room within midweek busyness.

  • There are a wide range of themes—joy, self-compassion, gratitude, connection, awe, meaning, grounding, simplicity—so you learn something new each week.

  • The regularity of practice and ease of implementation let you form the mindfulness habit you’ve always wanted.

Hi! My name is Joy. I’m a mindfulness teacher who works with busy folks.

Life is go-go-go and it’s hard to slow down. I’ve seen so many people stressed and tired; so many people taking care of others yet not tending to themselves.

I created The Pause to give y’all breathing room. Each week, you connect with your inner compass; you have space just for you.

  • Absolutely! Each mindfulness theme stands on its own. It’s not a cumulative curriculum. Join at any time and enjoy the next week’s message.

  • You’ll receive an email each Wednesday morning at 5am Central Time.

  • You only need 10 minutes a week! Read the email, listen to the meditation. Each message includes additional resources if you want to go deeper, but 10 minutes is all you need.

  • All the email messages and meditations are stored on my website. You have easy access to this page, so you can revisit themes again and again.

  • You bet. The Pause is a monthly subscription that you can cancel at any time. You’ll have access to content until the end of your billing cycle.
