January 18: The power of music

Listen to a meditation…

Then write…

  • What songs pleasantly remind you of your youth?

  • What movie scores spoke to you?

  • What musicals inspire you?

  • What songs make you dance?

  • What songs do you listen to when you're sad?

Keep a running list of songs or musical pieces that you enjoy.

Each day, choose a song or musical piece to listen to without distractions. Lie on the couch and listen. Focus on the music. Notice how it makes you feel.

Journal prompt

Recall a time in your life when an interaction changed you. When someone's kindness, understanding, creativity, strength, or honesty impacted you deeply. Write about the experience in detail.
